There are also plenty of attractions to visit including Blackgang Chine, which is the UK’s oldest amusement park, offering rides, life-sized dinosaurs, pirate ships, fairy villages and much more, just 6 miles away, The Needles is home to the famous rock formation; this attraction offers a chairlift down to Alum Bay, traditional children’s rides and glass making demonstrations, 19 miles away. Calbourne Water Mill is a fascinating day out: it is the only working water mill on the Isle of Wight and also features a small war museum, rural exhibits and a café. Explore Osborne House, which is a former royal residence that was built for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as a summer home and rural retreat,13 miles away.
