These five lodges - Basil, Thyme, Rosemary, Fennel and Anise were originally retreats for an ancient Order of Nuns and are now delightful, holiday homes located in superb peace and tranquility in park-like grounds with fruit trees, shrubs and ornamental trees in the grounds of a lovely Oast house. During the relevant seasons, apples, rhubarb and gooseberries are all available for guests to enjoy. Guests are also welcome to walk and explore the owner's ten acres of paddocks and fields. This is an ideal area for walkers with a wealth of footpaths and walkways, yet within easy access of Staplehurst and for visiting the many beautiful gardens, castles, historic houses and National Trust properties in the region. There is a railway station at Staplehurst with regular services to London. The lodges can be booked individually to sleep between two - four people in each, or together to sleep a total of thirteen.
