Here you will find a string of pretty coastal towns and villages including Cromer, with its numerous attractions including its famous Edwardian seafront, wide sandy beach and pier, museum and zoo. Sheringham is close by too and is perfect for those who just wish to potter and for beach lovers alike. Head west of here and enjoy a spot of crabbing at Blakeney, visit the picturesque quay at Wells-next-the-Sea or head east for all the fun of the fair in Great Yarmouth.
The Norfolk Broads is close by too and you can take the Bure Valley Railway from Aylsham to Wroxham, where you can charter a day launch or join an organised tour and drift along these much celebrated waterways. Make time for a trip to the medieval city of Norwich with its splendid Norman castle and many museums, theatres, galleries and attractions too. History buffs will be spoilt for choice and are sure to head to nearby Blickling Hall, where you can explore the house and gardens.
