Carnival week is held during the third week of August and there are fireworks over the water on New Year’s Day to celebrate the new year (weather permitting). The neighbouring seaside town of Sheringham is 15 miles with regular market days, shops, cafes, pubs, Splash Aqua Park and the National Trust’s, Sheringham Park.
