It features a large dining table that can accommodate 18 guests, and is a suitable place to host a small conference. It is set on three floors and some rooms boast excellent sea views. Situated in a conservation area, it is less than 220 yards from the sandy beach and within walking distance of the pier. Cromer offers a wealth of amenities, promenade gardens, a pier with a theatre hosting regular concerts and visiting performers, an RNLI lifeboat station and museum, a cliff top golf course, shops, cafes and restaurants, and a number of pubs within ½ mile. Popular events include Carnival week (normally held during the third week of August), and fireworks over the water on New Year’s Day (weather permitting). The neighbouring seaside town of Sheringham (5 miles) has a sandy beach, the North Norfolk Steam Railway, Splash Aqua pool, Sheringham gardens, market days, shops, cafes and restaurants. Elwin House is within an hour’s drive of the Norfolk Broads for daily boat hire and river trips, riverside restaurants, cafes and shops. The city of Norwich, approx. 30 minutes, has shopping, two cinema complexes, theatre, castle museum, cathedral, bowling, pubs and restaurants. Shop, pub and restaurant 1/4 mile.
