Puffin Cottage is an end-terrace property which enjoys riverside views, and is set within a cluster of private riverside cottages. The cottage is individually styled with contemporary open plan living and very comfortably furnished to provide the warmest welcome at any time of the year. It has its own patio seating area overlooking the landscaped lawns and River Bure, and is a perfect place to simply relax and watch the boating activity along the river.
This is the perfect location for enjoying a riverside holiday and is a haven for fishing enthusiasts. On-site fishing is available (seasonal with licence) from the boat basin and the River Bure. Great for anyone looking for a car free holiday, Wroxham is well served and it is only a short walk to the shops, riverside cafés and restaurants. The local bus and train station offer regular services to Norwich and the excellent coastal resort of Sheringham, and daily boat hire and river trips are available. A model village and Wroxham Barns craft centre are located on the edge of the village. Experience a nostalgic trip by visiting the Bure Valley Steam Railway, Norfolk’s longest narrow gauge railway which runs between the historic market town of Aylsham and Wroxham.
The city of Norwich with its cathedral, museums, theatre, cafés and shops is just 8 miles away. The area is criss-crossed with numerous footpaths and cycling trails, and for keen walkers, there is the 61-mile Weavers Way, a long distance footpath that winds through the best parts of the Broads, from Cromer to Great Yarmouth. Golf is available at Sprowston Hall, 6 miles. Beach 13 miles. Shops and pub 500 yards.
