This delightful cottage with its ‘upside down’ design, sundeck and first floor balcony overlooking tranquil marshland, is one of a row of six set a few yards from the mooring basin and the local River Ant. Footpaths offer leisurely waterside strolls and Sutton’s village green is perfect for fishing and picnicking. If you don’t want to cook, there is a local restaurant and pub just a stroll away.
Situated within an easy drive of the Norfolk Broads and Norfolk’s coastline, the property stands in the small hamlet of Sutton Staithe, a conservation area offering a relaxing waterside holiday location next door to the boatyard, with boating activity all around. On your doorstep, there is day launch and river fishing available in season.
The Norfolk Broads Museum is a few minutes’ drive away, where you can discover the history of The Broads and associated boating. Wroxham, known as the ’capital of the Broads’, is only 9 miles away. Closer to home is the seaside resort of Sea Palling, 4 miles, or for quieter sandy beaches, take a trip to Waxham and Horsey. The city of Norwich makes for a great day out, with its cathedral, theatre, castle museum, excellent shopping, restaurants and cafés. Enjoy a day at the seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, only 16 miles away. The Weavers Way runs through the town and provides good walking and cycling opportunities. The market town of Stalham is 1½ miles away and provides a host of amenities including a supermarket, shops, pubs and restaurants. Beach 4 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 80 yards.
