Originally a Blacksmiths forge which served the horses at the manor house and the surrounding area, there are still 16 award winning stables on site, although there are no longer horses there. The manor house and the forge were originally part of the Holkham Estate, owned by the Earls of Leicester and were both built in the 17th-century. Converted with love and care by the owners to maintain the character but providing everything needed for a perfect stay, this is a great base for discerning guests wishing to relax and unwind and those wishing to explore on foot, cycle or by car alike. In fact, as well as good road links, the properties boasts wonderful walks and cycle routes right from the front door. The Royal Sandringham Estate is only 26 miles away and other places of interest are Langham Glass in Fakenham, and the National Trust properties of Sheringham Gardens, Felbrigg Hall and Holkham Hall. Guest will find excellent sailing and water sport activities available along the coast.
