There is direct access from the garden to the sand dunes and a glorious sandy beach, a paradise for children and where guests will also discover seals in their own natural habitat. The beach has eight off-lying, man-made reefs which form seven sandy bays for swimming, surfing, kitesurfing, jet skiing and other recreational water sports. This really is a great holiday location for all the family, offering a whole range of activities and entertainment right on your doorstep. For all the fun at the seaside, hire a jet ski and go exploring, or if it’s raining, have hours of fun at the amusement arcades. Why not buy some fresh local sea food from the nearby shop, and cook up a feast for the whole family. Sea Palling also has a local pub, which has live music, a café, fish and chip shop and a general store, all conveniently close by. Waxham Beach, with its breeding colony of seals, is just 1 mile away. Winterton’s circular walk and nature reserve is just 6 miles away. Fishing can be done directly from the beach or fishing and day boat hire are available at Ormesby, Filby and Rollesby Broads and most places on the broads and rivers that abound locally are all within easy reach. Take a day trip to Great Yarmouth for family fun and entertainment, and of course the latest treetop adventure park BeWILDerwood at Horning, which the children will love. Boat trips can be found at Stalham and Wroxham, the capital of the Norfolk Broads, or take a trip on the steam train. Visit Norwich, a medieval city just a short drive away, with its castle, cathedral, fine dining, museums and excellent shops. Walking, sailing and cycle hire are all available locally. Shop 65 yards, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
