The idyllic village of Melton Constable nestles in the heart of the Norfolk countryside making it an ideal base for enjoying rural walks. The bustling Georgian town of Holt is just a short drive away (5 miles) and offers a fantastic variety of shops restaurants and pubs as well as the 100 acre Holt Country Park. Other nearby attractions within 15 miles include the Blickling Estate Pensthorpe Natural Park Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure the Muckleburgh Military Collection the watermill at Letheringsett and the ruins of Baconsthorpe Castle and Binham Priory. The coast is just 8 miles away and there are numerous wonderful beaches and towns to explore including Sheringham Wells-next-the-Sea and Cromer. Nearby nature reserves include Cley Marshes and Blakeney. On entering this attractive light and inviting property which has been built in the traditional Norfolk style and retains several original features including exposed brick walls beamed ceilings and wooden flooring you will find yourself in the spacious and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge features comfortable seating TV DVD iPod dock and is a wonderful space to unwind in with views out into the woods. Double doors lead to a small outside seating area. The heart of the room is occupied by a large brick chimney with a wood burner behind which is the elegantly designed kitchen/diner where you can enjoy a meal in style. The kitchen and utility room are well equipped with an oven larder fridge/freezer microwave washer/dryer and dishwasher. Exploring further you will find two cosy ground-floor bedrooms: a double room and a twin room each en-suite. Stairs from the inner hall lead you up to the first-floor bedrooms: one double room and a twin room. There is also a family bathroom complete with a shower over the bath. Off the twin room is a mezzanine level with a glazed balustrade which is perfect to use as a second lounge. Going outside you will find a partly-walled lawn garden with flowers shrubs a charming summerhouse and garden furniture allowing you to sit back and relax at the end of a great day. There is plenty of parking for up to 4 cars on the gravelled area immediately in front of the property.
