Situated just a short, picturesque walk from the beautiful historic town of Richmond is dominated by an imposing Norman castle. It offers panoramic views, ancient alleys, museums, monuments, restaurants, markets and shops. Richmond is the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales National Park and offers a perfect base to explore the treasures of the past. Discover the oldest Georgian theatre in England, Middleham Castle, Bolton Castle. There is a former Victorian railway station nearby, which is now a thriving hub of artisan bakers, brewers, restaurant, cinema, art gallery and sports facilities. Within an hours’ drive you can visit the medieval city of York, Harrogate, with its Royal Baths, and Durham City, with its World Heritage cathedral.
