To the rear of the property, is an enclosed lawned garden, perfect for a relaxing drink after a day spent exploring the area and a safe place for children to play and let off steam. The bubbling hot tub, located in a sheltered sunny spot, is sure to be a big hit with everyone, where you can socialize and unwind after a busy day. A five-minute walk brings you to two local inns serving food, a traditional village store and a fish and chip shop. There are many nearby walks, both along the Forge Valley and Dalby Forest, which has numerous cycling tracks for all abilities, whilst a few minutes’ drive brings you to the popular seaside resort of Scarborough, with its sandy beaches, painted beach huts and donkey rides. Stroll along the promenade, enjoy the ornamental gardens, or dine in one of the many excellent restaurants. The historic market towns of Pickering, Malton and Kirkbymoorside are all worth exploring, or you can take a trip on the North York Moors Steam Railway, which puffs its way from Pickering to Grosmont through the spectacular scenery of the heather clad moors.
