Cottage In The Highlands, Applecross

Ross-Shire. Sleeps up to 12

The wild peninsula of Applecross is a tranquil destination with awe inspiring views of mountains and coastline. Accessed via a coastal road or the famous Bealach na Ba road, this property enjoys a remote location with a pebble beach literally on your doorstep. Work up an appetite exploring your surroundings before treating yourself to something delicious at the friendly Applecross Inn or the Walled Garden café. Cosy yet contemporary, the interior of the house has been lovingly designed to maximise the space and spectacular views. The fresh decor, bright lighting and simple presentation is tasteful and elegant. Leave your boots in the utility room after a bracing walk along the seafront, ready to uncork a bottle of good wine to enjoy with dinner. The well equipped kitchen has everything you need to whip up delicious meals to eat seated at the family sized dining table. The sitting room may be small and compact, but it is a delightful spot to relax in front of the wood burner. A good dose of sea air is ideal for a restful sleep, especially when you have an array of delightful bedrooms to choose from. The first king size bedroom can be found on the ground floor, complete with an en suite bathroom. The remaining three king size rooms (two of which have en suite shower rooms) and main bathroom are on the first floor, and the two twin bedrooms are located on the second floor. Beware of reduced head height due to comb ceilings in the twin bedrooms. Outside, the enclosed garden is a serene spot to take in your surroundings over a pot of tea and generous slab of homemade cake. With the pebble beach literally on your doorstep, you can explore to your heart's content listening to the sounds of the crashing sea.
