This fantastic, semi-detached barn conversion, Tilbury Cottage, is set above the village of West Bagborough on the southern slopes of the Quantock Hills. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this area is famous for the poets Coleridge and Wordsworth who once lived and wrote here. Set within the grounds of the owner’s farm, this is an ideal holiday location for walkers, bird watchers or for some peace and quiet. The farm commands stunning views across Taunton Deane towards the Blackdown Hills and west over Exmoor National Park. Tilbury Farm was once part of the Cothelstone Estate whose beautiful parkland lies immediately below. This is therefore an ideal location for walking and cycling over a network of footpaths and bridleways across open moorland, wooded coombes and rolling countryside. Other local attractions include the West Somerset Steam Railway, Exmoor National Park, Hestercombe Gardens, Dunster Castle and Mill and the coast at Kilve Beach. Complimentary newspapers of your choice and a fridge stocked with breakfast provisions are provided (bacon, eggs, sausages, bread, butter, orange juice, milk, tea and ground coffee) to help guests unwind from the very start of their holiday. There is an exceptional local country pub with restaurant within walking distance and village amenities are just a short drive away, making this a perfect location for a relaxing stay. Beach 10 miles. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
