Contemporary in design, this semi-detached barn conversion has made the most of stunning countryside views, with first floor living space complete with a cosy wood burner. Adjoining the owner’s home, its position is close to the Manifold Valley, with the Manifold cycle track just one mile away. This follows the route of the former Leek and Manifold Valley Light Railway, and is flat and mostly traffic free. A good variety of walks are also available direct from the door, ranging from hardy, all-weather, all-terrain ramblers, to those wanting to just enjoy a gentle stroll. The village has a great local pub serving food, and Hulme End, two miles, has further local facilities including a village shop, pub and tea room with live jazz. Out and about you’ll be truly spoilt for choice with a whole host of attractions in the surrounding area. Chatsworth House and the ever popular market town of Bakewell can be reached in around a half-hour drive, as can Haddon Hall, Ashbourne, the former spa town of Matlock and Matlock Bath, with its cable car to the Heights of Abraham. Carsington Water, where you can kayak, cycle, sail or fish, is also around a 30-minute drive. The UK’s premier theme park, Alton Towers, complete with water park and spa is just 20 minutes away.
