This well-equipped, two bedroom holiday cottage was renovated in 2018, and boasts two bathrooms, plus a downstairs toilet. There is a cosy living room with a wood burner, perfect for those chillier winter evenings and a large kitchen/dining room that leads to a lovely country garden which looks out over fields and countryside.
The village itself is centred around the maypole, it boasts three pubs, one of which is award winning and is a short walk through a pathway at the end of the lane, a convenience store, petrol station and a butchers. This property is perfect for couples, small families and friends looking for a lovely village location with plenty of walks from the doorstep along the river, pubs and open countryside. It is close to the main tourist attractions of Stratford-upon-Avon and on the edge of the quintessentially English towns and villages of the Cotswolds. Stratford-upon-Avon is 5 miles away and is famous for Shakespeare’s birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, Mary Arden’s Farm, The Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Stratford Racecourse. You can meander down the river, take a boat trip, see the sites from a tour bus or simply enjoy shopping and eating in the many independent and high street shops, cafés, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. The market towns of Alcester and Evesham are 6 miles and 11 miles respectively, and the Cotswolds towns and villages including Broadway, Moreton-in-Marsh, Winchcombe, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water are all within easy driving distance.
