This charming cottage is positioned in the wonderful village of Haselor on the River Alne, between Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon and the pretty riverside market town of Alcester. Parts of this terraced cottage date back to the 16th century and it has been in the family for many years. The property offers many wonderful features including beautiful exposed beams on the ceiling and in the walls, and an inglenook fireplace which houses a cosy wood burner for those chilly winter evenings. This spacious cottage has a good-sized living room, a separate dining room, a large kitchen and lovely bedrooms.
This is the perfect getaway for friends and families looking to explore the local area of Warwickshire. The nearby town of Alcester, 2 miles, is a quintessential English market town with a charming high street full of shops, pubs and restaurants, along with many historical buildings and Tudor cottages. Ragley Hall is close by and hosts many events throughout the year including The Game Fair, music concerts and sporting events. Visit Coughton Court, home of the Throckmorton family and a National Trust property.
Stratford-upon-Avon, 5 miles, is well worth a visit with lots to do and see including William Shakespeare’s Birthplace museum, Mary Arden’s Farm and Anne Hathaway’s Cottage. Why not watch a production by the Royal Shakespeare Company or take a boat trip along the River Avon. Spend a fun-filled family day at the Butterfly Farm, or explore the many high street and independent shops, restaurants, pubs and tea rooms available.
