Nancy’s House is in a convenient location, only 100 yards from a public footpath, and less than a 10-minute walk from the popular town of Emsworth, which has a weekly market and many pubs, restaurants and local shops. The harbour is also nearby as well as the relaxing mill pond where many birds can be seen in their natural environment. Emsworth is a historical town set towards the top edge of Chichester Harbour, which is an area of Special Scientific Interest and also an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

There are easy road links to many attractions, or alternatively, for a car-free holiday, good transport links by bus with bus stop close by, and by rail, with a train station just a short walk away. Visit Portsmouth with Spinnaker Tower, historic ships Mary Rose and Nelson’s Victory, waterside dining, designer shopping outlets, museums, and ferry trips to the Isle of Wight. Historic Chichester is 8 miles away, with cobbled pedestrianised streets, Festival Theatre, leisure centre, cinema complex and ornate cathedral. The picturesque sailing village of Bosham is within easy reach, and various National Trust homes and gardens, the nearest being Uppark House and Gardens, a 17th-century country house. Also within easy driving distance are Denmans, West Dean, Goodwood House and Arundel Castle. There are many golf courses and superb walks nearby, including the South Downs Way, which is within 10 miles of the property. The local beach also offers scenic walks and birdwatching opportunities, and there are popular, sandy beaches at Hayling Island, 9 miles, and The Witterings beaches, 11 miles. For family days out, why not visit the New Forest National Park, Marwell Zoo, Paultons Park, Peppa Pig World, Royal Navy Submarine Museum or the Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower. Take the Watercress Steam Railway and enjoy the nostalgia of yesteryear! Jane Austen’s House and Gilbert Whites Museum are also easily reached by car. Beach 9 miles.
