The house is superbly appointed, providing large accommodation with a truly English Country style and furnished with plenty of comfy sofas, charming upholstered armchairs and antiques. The Farmhouse gives a sense of going back in time but will all the convenience of modern day luxuries.
The wonderfully equipped kitchen has an Aga as well as a commercial oven, heaven for those who love cooking. For those who like to pass the wooden spoon over to someone else, the local chef, Gino can be booked and will produce the most delicious meals. With two comfortable sitting rooms, one with an open fire and one with a woodburner, there are plenty of separate areas allowing young and old to find their own spaces to read, play music and relax.
The house has beautiful gardens, where you will find secluded riverside nooks, an enclosed pretty walled garden and a lush open lawn running down to the river. For warm summer days and evenings there is a BBQ and outside seating.
Bridge Farmhouse is near the New Forest National Park and is a perfect base for walking and exploring the surrounding countryside. With just a 25 minute walk and lovely views through the water meadows of the cathedral and city, you have everything on your doorstep! Lots of very good restaurants and pubs to enjoy, shopping and culture, it really is an ideal holiday location.
