Broadway Tower situated on Broadway hill is the second highest point in the Costwolds, offers panoramic views of the area (once admired by the artist William Morris) and rural country walks. There are many country houses to visit in the area such as Hidcote Manor house and garden, Stanway House, Sudeley Castle with banqueting hall and tomb of Catherine Parr or the National Trust property Snowshill Manor, a restored 17th-century house with Jacobean furniture. Stratford, the birthplace of Shakespeare is renowned for its Tudor architecture with its broad streets of half-timbered houses.
