Guests can enjoy a selection of deluxe amenities including underfloor heating in all three spaces, high-speed Wifi to keep you connected as well as full bathroom facilities with a hot rainfall shower and flushing toilet. The site is wonderfully positioned on the border between Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire offering an interesting mix of things to do and see, combined with a cosy space to unwind and snuggle up in the evenings. The caravan and adjoining shepherds huts are set in their own private garden sheltered by a large garden fence with trees and shrubs around the outside. You will find outdoor decking and sun area to sit out and enjoy the warm summer evenings, while a gas barbecue is available for guests to use at their pleasure. In addition, the site is home to a few lovely goats all with their own distinctive character, which adds to the authentic appeal of the place.
The site is in the quiet and pretty little village of Guyhirn, with the Nene Way (national footpath) providing beautiful riverside walks quite literally immediately across the road! Guyhirn is ideally positioned to set out and explore a number of other interesting towns and villages in the vicinity, within easy striking distance of the towns of Peterborough (lots of shopping), March, Wisbech (home to one of the founders of the National Trust and some wonderful period properties), the ancient port of King’s Lynn, the Royal residence at Sandringham, the north Norfolk coast and of course the wonderful university city of Cambridge.
The closest local inn with restaurant is only a short 5-minute walk and is highly rated for its delicious evening meals, not to mention quality real ales or whatever your tipple might be! You can also find, within a 10-minute walk, an entertainment centre providing an indoor play area for children, ten-pin bowling and laser tag! Also popular nearby is a Raptor centre which provides some amazing hands-on experiences with owls, hawks and the like. However, if you’d prefer to fly yourself then there is a parachuting centre where you can make your first jump! Both of these would however normally need to be planned and booked in advance of your stay.
