The attractive village of Great Ayton lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, at the foot of the Cleveland Hills. Great Ayton is well known for being the boyhood home of Captain Cook where you can now visit The Captain Cook Schoolroom Museum. The village has two village greens, and a river running alongside, making it a popular picnic spot in the summer months. To the north of the village, the view is dominated by Roseberry Topping. There is a good range of shops, restaurants, pubs, and takeaways. Around the village are several interesting walks, and Great Ayton makes a great base for walkers wishing to explore the stunning countryside. A little further away is Stokesley (4.8 miles), an attractive market town with a variety of pubs, and restaurants with take away options. Head into this lovely cottage via the rear boot room area. Inside, the owners have completely renovated the property into a stylish and contemporary holiday home for friends and families seeking an escape to the countryside. The fully equipped kitchen offers everything you could need to rustle up delicious meals including an electric oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave, while the dining area provides the space to enjoy your meals over a well deserved glass of wine. There is a washing machine provided for those holiday practicalities. Head into the lounge, where a comfy sofa and a wood burner (first basket of logs provided) await you to sit back and relax while you watch a film on the Smart TV. Heading upstairs to the first floor, there are two double bedrooms and a shower room with a shower and WC. Enjoy your favourite tipple on the south facing patio. Opposite the cottage is a public footpath which is excellent for quick walks in the morning or evening with your four legged friend and easy access to Captain Cook s Monument. On street parking opposite the property.
