A large, airy old farmhouse that has all the features of a modern home. The house has been the most prominent property in the area since the 1700's and is steeped in history. It was located in a prominent position to oversee all the lands of the local area - hence the amazing views. Despite its age, the house has been refurbished with comfort and convenience in mind.
Guests have access to the whole house other than two rooms that hold our personal possessions.
We will be contactable by phone/email. Happy to offer help.
We have someone who can come out to the house if required.
The house benefits from being surrounded by countryside. Its prime position provides glorious panoramic views over the Chew Valley below. It is also just a short distance from Bath and Bristol. You get the best of both worlds; a relaxing countryside break with all the amenities and activities of two major UK cities. You can also explore the beautiful villages of the Chew Valley and Mendip Hills which are on your doorstep.
There is parking for 10+ cars on the property. Use "Rackledown Farm" in Google Maps for directions. Bristol airport is 10 minutes away by car. Bristol Temple Meads railway station is 25 minutes away by car. There are plenty of taxi options including Uber and V Cars. A limited bus service passes near our house.
Sorry, no wedding receptions / marquees in the garden. We accept well trained dogs - £50 charge per stay for additional inside and outside cleaning. One towel per person provided. Please bring more towels if required for the hot tub etc
