Tempting though it might be to spend your whole break chilling out at this ultra stylish retreat, there s a huge choice of things to do to suit all ages and tastes. Take the footpath that passes through the land directly onto Carsington Water first thing in the morning and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the waterside walks. Try your hand at windsurfing, canoeing and fishing, or, for those who like dry land, push your limits on an 8 mile mountain bike course. You will also find an award winning restaurant, a playground, shops, four bird hides and miles of footpaths and bridleways to explore nearby. There is a local village pub in Kirk Ireton, which dates back to the 18th century and offers a friendly welcome. Make sure you visit pretty towns and villages such as Matlock Bath, Ashbourne, Bakewell and Buxton, all of which boast an array of shops and restaurants, and head into the nearby market town of Wirksworth to enjoy the interesting architecture and local independant shops. Step in through the floor to ceiling glass sliding doors and take in the beautiful kitchen/diner with a huge vaulted ceiling. The kitchen is bright, contemporary and open plan, offering an electric double oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Come together around the kitchen island and plan the day ahead, watch the Smart TV or enjoy a relaxing dinner at the nearby dining table which extends to seat 8. The utility space houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. Take off your shoes and enjoy the underfloor heating as you wander through to the lounge with comfy seating and Smart TV. Upstairs, there's a master bedroom with a super king size bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower, WC and freestanding bath with countryside views. There's also a king size bedroom and a double bedroom, both of which share a shower room with shower and WC. Outside, you'll find a beautiful patio and loungers surrounded by trees.
