Situated on the beautiful Bere Peninsula, this property is close to the Cornwall border, which makes it an ideal base from which to explore both counties. This peaceful village sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so a selection of scenic walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep. Head north and you ll reach the old stannary town of Tavistock, which sits on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, perfect for a long walk followed by a hearty meal at a local pub. Also within easy reach is Plymouth, which boasts an array of shops, pubs, restaurants, an aquarium and theatre. Explore the river walks, looking out for the local birdlife along the way. Inside, this property offers a tasteful blend of old and new as original exposed beams are combined with fresh decor. The kitchen displays a traditional farmhouse style and contains a gas range oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. A washing machine and tumble dryer are located in the garage. Choose to dine at the kitchen table or take to the conservatory to enjoy stunning river views while you eat. The lounge is cosy and inviting, with exposed beams above and a wood burner and original bread oven set into an inglenook fireplace at one end. After a busy day on foot, relax on one of the comfortable sofas and make the most of the TV/DVD and CD (plenty of CD's and DVD's available). Three bedrooms are located on the first floor, one double, one twin and one bunk bedroom. The bedrooms are light and airy and share a large bathroom with wooden flooring and a separate shower. A further double bedroom with en suite shower room is located on the second floor and features sloping ceilings and velux windows overlooking the river. Outside, and enclosed by a low wall, there is a garden with furniture and a BBQ enjoying unrivalled views across the river to the banks beyond, a spectacular spot for enjoying al fresco meals.
