The Granary is a wonderful barn conversion surrounded by a patchwork of green and brown fields, between the Dartmoor National Park and the Tamar Valley AONB. The property is located on an active farm. It is just four miles away from the market town of Tavistock, playing host to a diverse range of shops and places to eat and entertain you. This reverse-level accommodation makes the most of the countryside views encompassing the exterior, with a lovely garden at the back, ideal for families and large groups. The open-plan living room showcases a stunning high-vaulted ceiling and Velux windows bringing in the natural light overhead. There is lots of comfy seating and bright splashes of colour each way you turn. The kitchen boasts a contemporary design, with elegant wall cabinets, a breakfast bar and under cupboard lighting. Next door, the dining table sits proudly in the centre of the room, waiting to serve the delicious family meal. Down the staircase you will find the bedrooms, along with a utility hosting a washing machine and a WC / cloakroom. Three small steps take you up into the first bedroom, which occupies a super-king size bed and a travel cot for those travelling with a little one. There is even a highchair in the dining room and a stairgate to keep them secure. The rest of the bedrooms mirror this layout with a super king-size bed and they each come with a beautiful en-suite bathroom. Choose to soak in the bath tub after a long walk or refresh under the shower before breakfast. You can even take advantage of the lavish hot tub outside on the patio. Enjoy a peaceful, countryside soak with a refreshing glass of wine waiting for you when you brave getting out. Those feeling energetic can play a game of tennis on the owner's tennis court close by and there is even a selection of games for the kids. Beyond the tennis court is a large grassy area leading down to the stream that you are welcome to explore. There are some wonderful walking routes on Dartmoor, with wild, open moorland and an ever-changing landscape. You can horse ride, cycle, fish and even hire a canoe on the River Dart. Visit the National Trust's Lydford Gorge and enjoy a woodland trail with the whole family; there are many photo opportunities to be had at the beautiful Whitelady Waterfall. Further afield is Plymouth, the Eden Project and the beaches of Devon and North Cornwall. A quality break for large groups, families and friends, in a picturesque location.
