This superb house is situated in a quiet part of Lyme Regis which makes it the perfect base from which to explore the World Heritage Coast. The nearby local Museum displays artefacts related to the town’s literary connections and provides a crash course in local history, its geology, and of course Mary Anning’s story.
Lyme Regis itself is a truly fantastic place. Situated on the magnificent UNESCO Jurassic Coast, it's known as the pearl of Dorset and upon visiting, it's easy to see why. A famous spot for fossil hunters worldwide, it also sits on the South West Coast Path and offers a whole host of wonderful hikes and walks nearby. The south-facing beaches are safe for both children and water sport enthusiasts, with great fishing and leisure boat opportunities available from the Cobb harbour. It has a fantastic food and music scene and there are also vast amounts of festivals and events happening in the town throughout the year.
