Set out on foot to explore this western end of the Brecon Beacons National Park, taking in the dramatic Black Mountains and Llyn y Fan Fach (9.5 miles), famous for its legend of the Lady of the Lake or stay closer to home and head to Carreg Cennen castle ( 4 miles ).If you want to adventure a little further head out in the car and visit the show caves at Dan Yr Ogof which is just a 30 minute car ride away. Stock up on supplies or enjoy a bite to eat in the market town of Llandeilo (6 miles) or spend a family day out at Usk Reservoir (13.5 miles), a wonderful spot for cycling, stone skimming, picnics, fishing and walking. Inside, this tasteful barn conversion is warm and welcoming, with oak beams and flooring, exposed stonework, soft neutral decor and plenty of natural light throughout. Rustle up delicious family meals in the traditional kitchen, where you will find an electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and oak dining table. Afterwards, step into the cosy sitting room, where two large sofas surround a wood burner and TV, perfect for relaxing nights in with the family. A sunny conservatory divides the two barns and offers a peaceful space in which to read in the afternoon. Upstairs are two delightful bedrooms, one double and one king size, both of which boast matching oak furniture and wonderful rural views. The bedrooms share a fantastic bathroom with a corner bath and shower over the bath. Outside, a sunny terrace with garden furniture and BBQ leads up to a raised lawn garden with pretty pots and tubs, perfect for dogs and children alike. A hot tub boasts breath taking views across open countryside, the perfect way to soothe aching muscles after a long walk.
