The Space:
The Captain’s Lookout is a nautical-themed full townhouse over 3 levels with access to the beach. Each room has been tastefully decorated with strong wallpaper and cosy colours. The bedside tables in the double rooms are original tea crates and the lower bedroom has trunks that have likely been round the world several times. The house is laid out as follows: Ground Floor – large bedroom with 3 full-sized single beds. Ensuite bathroom with shower and WC. Utility room with washer and dryer with access to the beach via the lane. First Floor – 2 bedrooms with king size beds. Panelled bathroom with shower over bath, vanity unit and illuminated steam-free mirror and towel rail. Second Floor – Open plan kitchen/living room with dining table. The table can be slotted away into the shelving to create more space. Smart TV on the wall. Stunning Sea Views of the Firth of Forth. Direct access to beach from utility room door. Dogs welcome for a small fee. No parties at all are allowed and we ask you are respectful of the neighbours throughout your stay. The maximum occupation at any given time is 7 guests. Smoking is not permitted within the property. Free off-street parking is available on the meandering narrow street.
The Neighbourhood:
The property is located 5 mins walk to town centre, 5 mins walk to the famous Anstruther Fish Bar, Less than a 5 minute walk to Cellardyke Tidal Pool and East Neuk Outdoors,1 min to Cellardyke Harbour, 10 mins drive to The Cow Shed. There is a Co-op Supermarket near the town centre.
Getting Around:
It's a 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop which services most of Fife and Edinburgh. The nearest train station is Leuchars near St Andrews.
Guest Access:
Guests will have full access to the entire property. No rooms will be off limits and all contents within the house are there for our guests use including wifi, the TV and the cooking implements.
Pre-Arrival:
When the booking is confirmed you will receive instructions via a web link with all the necessary information to check yourself in at your leisure from 4pm. If early check in has been purchased check in will be from 3pm. Please note that access is not permitted to the property before this time, and we cannot store any luggage prior to check in.
Check in is via a secure key box for which you will be provided the code prior to arrival.
During Your Stay:
We are happy to communicate with all guests as much as necessary, but will otherwise leave you to enjoy your stay.

This vacation home is located in Anstruther. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Craigtoun Country Park and Billow Ness Beach, while Scottish Fisheries Museum and Crail Museum and Heritage Centre are cultural highlights. La Petite Epicerie and Cambo Estate Gardens are also worth visiting.
