The rural hamlet of Earlswood sits within the Wye Valley just six miles west of Chepstow a bustling town with a good selection of pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes, steeped in history with a castle that is the oldest surviving post Roman stone fortification in Britain. For walkers, you can enjoy the countryside and well waymarked paths from your front door to include Wentwood, the largest ancient woodland in Wales. For cyclists, you can take advantage of the National Cycling Route (42) which runs past the house. The area is also rich in heritage, with many castles including Goodrich, Monmouth, and Raglan Castle, and numerous beautiful churches including the ancient Kilgwrrwg and the remains of the stunning Tintern Abbey, just a short drive away. This former schoolhouse offers a warm welcome, step inside where you will find space to leave your muddy boots and coats behind. The entrance offers access into the kitchen/diner where you can get together after a day exploring and enjoy a hearty supper. The kitchen area is traditional in style and well equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A small utility area offers a washing machine. For relaxing there is a lounge with wood burner and TV where you can enjoy a good movie after a busy day. And when the day is done climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find three bedrooms. A super king size zip and link ( which can be made into a twin with 3ft singles by request), a double bedroom and a single room. Also on this floor there is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Outside to the rear of the house an enclosed garden with table and chairs and charcoal BBQ. There is off road parking for two cars and secure storage for bikes. EV charging is also available, additional charges applied.
