A beautiful couples retreat in an idyllic village location perfect to relax, unwind and explore Snowdonia National Park, dramatic countryside, historic towns and pretty villages in North Wales. Nearby Bala boasts Wales's largest natural lake, narrow gauge railway, National White Water Centre and a range of restaurants and shops. Nearby Betws y Coed with historic bridges, waterfalls, river pools and hill top lakes, is also full of outdoor activity and craft shops, galleries and public houses. Enjoy walking, climbing, kayaking, sailing and fishing in breath taking scenery. Visit historic towns of Ruthin and Denbigh, have a day trip to Barmouth for fabulous beaches or take the challenges of GYG karting, Snowdonia's Cader Idris, Surf Snowdonia and the Zip World Caverns. This really is an all year round destination. The former stables, with full aspect window, is full of interesting objects, stylish features and stunning rural views. The open plan kitchen/diner is welcoming and cosy with the sofa to cuddle up on and watch TV or a DVD, sink into the armchair in front of the fire with a good book, or just admire the Welsh countryside. If you decide to eat in the well equipped kitchen area, with breakfast bar, it has all you need to prepare a meal from the electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher to all the thoughtful little extras creating a lovely space to cook in. Meander up the stairs to the luxurious double bed with freshly laundered linen, soft dressing gowns and towels. The stylish en suite has a large shower and separate WC. Up the private drive, past the owners home, the property nestles on the gravelled courtyard with superb countryside views. Across the courtyard, you can enjoy alfresco dining in the private patio area with table, chairs and charcoal BBQ with lovely views. There are also a number of shared spaces to sit and relax in the nine acres of grounds. Maybe picnic by the standing stones or at the top of the garden near the trees. If you are bringing your bike there is lockable storage and an outside tap with hose available. Plenty of outside space for your canoe or kayak. The shared, spacious, vaulted ceiling games barn is also accessible from the courtyard and offers a wide range of fun activities to enjoy, including Free View with large wall projection, darts, table tennis, slate bed pool table and high quality hi fi system. Ample private parking on site, within walking distance to the property. Please note that the path leading from the car park is quite steep. The owners have also wilded seven acres of the grounds to make a small sanctuary for wildlife with the creation of a large natural lake, new copses and wildflower meadows. Guests are welcome to walk around the lake but swimming and fishing are prohibited, but a wander through the wildflower meadow on a summer's evening is a real nature lovers treat.
