A couple’s retreat, everything about Marian Beach Cottage is beautiful and romantic! With snippet views from every window this cosy cottage sits tucked away behind the mighty mountains of Snowdonia. This beautiful 18th-century, one-bedroom property offers all the privacy and style you could want for a peaceful holiday in Wales, it truly is your own private paradise.
Marian Beach Cottage has been designed with a careful balance of indoor and outdoor living, with one leading to the other with ease. When you arrive, the living spaces are spread over two floors, with the kitchen, living and dining areas on the ground floor and the romantic bedroom upstairs. Built with thick, sturdy walls, natural stones and wooden floors, the interiors feel like a protected hideaway, providing comfort on windy days and a cost place to curl up each evening.
The living area has been fully renovated, with traditional features that now elegantly blend with the more modern and sophisticated style. The natural stone features tie the villa into the surroundings, whilst the white walls and modern kitchen bring a fresh energy to the space. The entire space is open plan, with a fully equipped kitchen, an informal dining area and a cosy seating area. The space has a warm and welcoming feel, with picture frame windows capturing a different view each time.
Stepping upstairs, the master bedroom feels like a romantic retreat, with an indulgent double bed poised under the gables. The beautifully appointed bathroom has a fantastic double-ended bath where you can fully relax, pairing a bubble bath with candlelight, soft music, and a glass of wine.
The true magic of this villa really comes alive when you step back outside, where the gardens and terrace stretch out in front of you. Al-fresco dinners on the patio are the perfect respite, after an afternoon at the local pub or a visit to a nearby art gallery. As the evening sets in, you can slip into the hot tub and finish the day gazing up at the star – can you think of anything more romantic!
Hidden away behind the striking mountains of Snowdonia, perched on the headland overlooking one of the most sheltered sandy beaches in North Wales, is the charming village of Llanbedrog, which plays host to the delightful Marian Beach Cottage.
Perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life, the quintessential village of Llanbedrog offers an escape from the world. One of the key spots on the Llyn Peninsula, the village is famed for its long sandy beach and boasts the renowned Plas Glyn y Weddw, a magnificent Manor with galleries, beautiful gardens and a tearoom with sea views.
The Ship (Y Llong), a lovely pub and restaurant is located just 300 meters along the road. There is a second pub, as well as a Londis store and a garage all within walking distance. For foodies, some of the top recommend restaurants are within a short walk or drive. We would highly recommend Tremfan Hall in Llanbedrog, which is within walking distance. Coconut Kitchen in Abersoch and Plas Bodegroes in Efailnewydd, are also both within an easy drive of the cottage.
Abersoch and Pwllheli are both beautiful seaside towns that are perfect for romantic meals, walks and beach days! Renowned for their blue flag beaches and water sports, these pretty shores are popular among families and couples alike. If you travel a little further, approximately twelve miles to Aberdaron at the tip of the Peninsula, you can take a boat trip to Bardsey Island. One place we would highly recommend visiting is Ty Coch in Porthdinllaen, recently voted “the third best beach bar in the world! Other popular attractions nearby include Ffestiniog Railway, Cricieth castle and the Italian village of Portmeirion.
