Pilot House is the perfect coastal hideout neatly tucked away on the seafront and yet close to the buzzing heart of Beaumaris Anglesey. A stunning house with the added joy of private off road parking - a wonderful extra in Beaumaris!
This smart house stands slim and tall on the front, just a flip-flop across the way from the shingle beach. Light floods in and the views cascade from the large windows over the Menai Strait. Enter the three storeys of light-bathed tranquillity and discover quirky style amid sweeps of pine stripped floor boards and Welsh slate.
Downstairs cosy up on the Welsh blankets and roll out the Monopoly in the sitting room. This snug room has a spectacular bay window with seriously beautiful views for breakfast, with the Snowdonia mountain range soaring over the sea.
Move into the kitchen gleaming with a double range electric cooker and all the equipment that you will ever need. This is the place to truly enjoy cooking a feast then to sit and eat leisurely around the long table for eight with snazzy chairs.
A gorgeous shower room sits at the back of the house, just off the hall which is functional and great for coats, wetsuits and wellies. Pop outside from here for a sunset drink in the hidden courtyard garden - a real sun trap.
Up the Farrow and Ball painted stairs to a landing area awash with the best wallpaper ever! Windows wrap around the edges of the first floor sitting room with views that are seriously beautiful.
Watch the boats play on the sparkling water from the seating by the windows. You will be mesmerised by the seaside delights collected over time and there are plenty of books for rainy days. So snuggle down with the warm embrace of the wood stove with an exquisite Welsh blanket on the squashy leather sofas and watch the storm waves blow in and the dramatic mountains change with the clouds.
There are two double bedrooms here on the first floor. The front bedroom is calm, flooded with light and faces the shore with the deep blue sea shimmering in the distance. The rear bedroom is pastel perfect with tall ceilings and overlooks the rear garden.
Next to both bedrooms, the large bathroom offers both a spacious bath and a separate large shower. A very swish room with wood panelled walls, a tiny fireplace and snowy towels. On the half landing is a handy Ty Bach (Welsh for little lavatory).
Up the tiny narrow staircase, under the roof, are two lofty bedrooms. Three wonderful Canadian geese almost fly up to the eaves with you as you make your way up there. A sublimely comfortable double room with a cute seating area, and a vibrant twin room await you. Nestled in the eaves, these rooms have old beams and roof top views.
The Pilot House has all the ingredients for a terrific Anglesey seaside holiday - sand and crabbing on your doorstep and good dining just along the road in atmospheric Beaumaris with masses to explore. The winding coastal footpaths from here are fabulous! Park your car and walk everywhere for a few days then grab those keys and decide on the next adventure. Gardens, castles, mountains, lakes, long sandy beaches, secluded coves, lighthouses and starry skies. So much to do that you can give yourself permission to return !
