Found deep in the woodland of the Cairngorms National Park, Torbeck Chalet is a lovely first-floor chalet, next door to the owner's property, which can sleep up to four and is perfect for a romantic Scottish getaway or a rural family adventure. The light décor, high vaulted ceilings and velux windows give the property a bright and spacious feel, beginning with the open-plan living space, which offers views of the surrounding forest and shared garden area, alongside an inviting gas stove-effect fire, where you can enjoy a tranquil afternoon watching the snow fall from the comfort of the couch, or watch TV as the fire crackles in the background. When you’re feeling peckish, make use of the spacious kitchen area, or sit back whilst your other half cooks a romantic meal for two, with useful amenities and appliances at hand, like an electric oven, microwave, toaster, fridge with icebox and even a dishwasher, if you don't feel like doing any washing up. Head to the bathroom and soak your troubles away as you unwind in the serene bath after a long day of exploring the Scottish Highlands, before retreating to the large, double size bedroom at the end of each day. The bedroom is complete with plenty of storage space and balcony doors that open up onto your own balcony, showcasing enchanting woodland views that will take your breath away, alongside a staircase that leads down to the shared garden area, where you can admire the pretty surroundings or read a captivating book at one of the seating areas. There's plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants to choose from just a short drive away in Kingussie and Aviemore town centres, or you could walk to the cafes in the nearby village of Kincraig. The surrounding woodland is home to lots of wildlife to discover and has paths, trails and tracks right on the property’s doorstep, so you can take your pick of leisurely strolls or mountain hikes. A short drive away is the Highland Wildlife Park, a perfect spot to go on habitat walks, visit the Highlands' wildlife and see endangered animals on your choice of driving or walking tours. The town of Kingussie is the original capital of Badenoch and retains many historical sites along with the RSPB Insh Marches. Meanwhile, Aviemore is the Gateway to the Cairngorms, with a full range of tourist facilities to help you get the most out of any trip to the mountain range.
