Hornsea is an unspoilt seaside town with an unassuming charm. Take a visit to Hornsea Mere, Yorkshire s largest freshwater lake which gave the area its name, Lakeland by the Sea . Here you will find rowing and sailing boats and an opportunity to see some wonderful wildlife. Situated less than 30 miles from the busier resorts of Bridlington and Scarborough, you could also drive or catch a bus to the beautiful market town of Beverley, or visit Hull, the UK s City of Culture 2017 and home to The Deep Aquarium. There are also various stately homes and gardens to visit within a few miles and the Yorkshire Wolds, made famous by artist David Hockney, are only 20 miles away. Step into the bright and airy open plan lounge/kitchen/diner which offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. Rustle up a hearty meal in the kitchen with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Come together around the central dining table situated under the sky lights and enjoy a meal with good company. After a day exploring, relax on the comfy sofas in front of the Smart TV and let the light flood in through the floor to ceiling windows. There is also a handy separate WC. Head upstairs where you will find two lovely double bedrooms with matching furniture and pretty fabrics. The family bathroom offers a shower over the bath and WC. Outside, there is an enclosed patio with seating accessed via walking around the side of the cottage. You will find a lockable shed, with power, providing handy bike storage space. There is seating to the front of the cottage which makes the most of the summer sun, but this space is not enclosed. There is off road parking for one car.
