The traditional seaside resort of Filey is an ideal coastal location for young families or anyone looking for a fine stretch of good sand for walks, playing in the sand, kite flying or even horse riding. The glorious 5 mile stretch of golden sand stretches from the rocky peninsula of Filey Brigg in the north down to Bempton, home to an RSPB reserve. At low tide, a quarter mile width of sand is exposed. Younger visitors will find plenty of good rock pools to explore along this stretch. The promenade running along the seafront features a series of artworks inspired by the local natural heritage. For the real thing though, head to Filey Brigg which is a good spot for birdwatching and marks the start of the Cleveland Way coastal walk and the end of The Wolds Way. Set on the ground floor of an Edwardian townhouse, this two storey apartment offers spacious and elegant accommodation in a quiet area. Take a couple of steps to the communal entrance and step inside the apartment, dusting off your sandy toes as you enter a handy hallway space, ideal for storing your belongings away from the main living areas. The lounge is situated at the front, there are original high ceilings and a table positioned before the large bay window, where you can enjoy dining experiences, or on rainy days, pull out a board game, puzzle or read a book. Enjoy a movie night sat on the comfy sofas watching a film on the Smart TV. Head down the hallway, which has two steps, to prepare tasty homecooked treats in the well equipped kitchen, which has everything you could need during your stay, including a fridge, slimline dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and hob, and washing machine. When sleep calls, there are two bedrooms, one super king size zip and link (can be made up as a twin on request) and one twin bedroom. Begin your mornings in one of the two bathrooms, on the ground level is a wet room with a walk in shower and WC or should you need a good soak, down the stairs on the lower level is a bathroom with a bath, handheld shower attachment and WC. End the day relaxing in your own garden to the front of the house, with a glass of fizz celebrating your coastal getaway. At the rear of the house is an enclosed yard with a shed to store bikes. There is off street parking for one car.
