Nestled in the centre of the Northumberland Coast AONB, Embleton is the ideal coastal destination, with miles of glorious coastline to explore and several sandy beaches within walking distance of your holiday cottage. The village has a pub and a local hotel, while there are many shops and eateries in nearby Alnwick, here you will also find its 12th century castle, during the time of the Norman conquest and the picturesque gardens, which lie adjacent to the castle and features a variety of themed plantings and there is a café should wish to stop for some lunch. Visit the ruins of 14th century Dunstaburgh Castle, perfectly placed for admiring the sea views and you can enjoy a picnic together while you bask in your surroundings and explore Preston Tower, a 14th century watchtower with several tranquil nature walks around its grounds. Walk the Embleton to Craster path, approximately 3 miles and length, and explore this quaint fishing village's beach and harbour, along with a selection of shops and restaurants.
