DRYBURGH STEADING ONE - By The River Tweed At Dryburgh, Sleeping 4, St. Boswells

Scottish Borders. Sleeps up to 4

Fabulous newly-renovated farm steading beside the River Tweed with the beguiling town of Melrose close by. A peaceful spot to relax and enjoy historic views.

Sitting at the end of a no-through lane in a peaceful spot beside the River Tweed.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of Dryburgh Steadings; four newly-renovated holiday homes designed around an attractive courtyard. Created from lovingly restored, striking pink sandstone and weather-boarded farm steadings, the hamlet sits at the end of a no-through lane in a peaceful spot beside the River Tweed.

This romantic pocket of the Borders has a fascinating tale to tell. The ancient Temple of the Muses overlooks the Steadings, with the legendary River Tweed below, punctuated by the charming Dryburgh Suspension Bridge which traverses the river below the Steadings. A five-minute walk along the lane leads to the evocative ruins of Dryburgh Abbey, the final resting place of Sir Walter Scott. The adjacent hotel is a good spot for meals or drinks. More distant views across open farmland take in the shapely summits of the triple-peaked Eildon Hills and the imposing statue of Sir William Wallace looking down onto the Steadings from atop a neighbouring hillside. Other highlights on the doorstep including the charming town of Melrose, Sir Walter Scott’s home at Abbotsford and Scott’s View, a celebrated spot from which to admire the magnificent undulating Borders’ countryside unfurl below.

Dryburgh Steading One sits to one side of the hamlet and the immaculately-presented accommodation comprises an open plan living area with log burner and two en-suite bedrooms.
The fully-enclosed garden runs the full extent of the building and includes a gas barbecue and outdoor furniture. The large lawned area which wraps around the Steading is also for the communal use of all guests.

The property is very well equipped with good quality kitchen equipment, luxurious bed linen and towels, Cole and Lewis guest amenities, waffle bath robes, televisions and sherry in every bedroom for a late-night tot and a quick and easy first night meal welcome hamper of pasta and other goodies.

Dogs are very welcome and there is a hose pipe outside each property to clean dogs after walking.
