Located in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands, this property is within easy reach of many local attractions. The local village pub is within walking distance and a little further afield there is a country café and farm shop where you can enjoy a breakfast, lunch or dinner. The market town of Ashbourne, famous for the Royal Shrovetide, is 8 miles away, and the towns of Bakewell famous for its Bakewell Pudding and Buxton, home to an opera house and spa, are both a little further. When you re looking to fill your days, you can choose from Alton Towers, Peak Wildlife Park, Thor s Cave and the Manifold Trail, all of which can be found nearby. Or if you re looking for activities right from your doorstep, there are plenty of pretty walks and cycle rides around the Roaches and the Manifold Valley. For those who like the water, you ll find Rudyard Lake (of Kipling fame) with its miniature steam railway and a little further out, Carsington Water with its water sports centre. Tittesworth Reservoir also has a kayak/canoeing centre if you fancy a paddle and keen anglers will also enjoy spending time here. Other attractions include Haddon Hall, Chatsworth House, Cheddleton Steam Railway, Tissington Hall, Sudbury Hall and its Museum of Childhood all are local and easily reached from the property by car. This delightfully presented former hay barn combines spacious contemporary living with traditional features. The large entrance is a great space for removing outdoor wear after a long day out exploring the rolling hills of the Peak District and it leads straight into the well equipped kitchen/diner. The kitchen area has everything you could need for your stay, including a double electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The dining area has a large table and seating for you to dine in style with friends and family perfect for celebrating any occasion or simply as a place to gather. There is also a Smart TV in the dining area. In addition, there is a handy utility area situated under the stairs with a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a separate WC on the ground floor. Upstairs, you ll find the fantastic sitting room which combines character and style in abundance, providing a large yet cosy space with log burner, Smart TV and Bluetooth speakers. Down the hallway from the sitting room are two super king sized bedrooms and two king sized zip and link bedrooms which can be made up as twins on request, three of the bedrooms have an en suite shower room and WC. The fifth bedroom, accessed from one of the king sized bedrooms, has two single beds (one of which is located on a mezzanine level accessed via straight steps). Finally, adjacent to the bedroom there is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC. To the front of the property you will find the enclosed garden and patio where you can enjoy amazing views of the hills, which provide the ideal backdrop for a photograph. This is also a perfect spot to relax and watch the world go by or enjoy some al fresco dining in finer weather. There is also private off road parking for three cars.
