The friendly farmer tends to the herd, adding to the authentic rural experience. Activities such as walks, country lane cycle rides, private fishing, and pony trekking are available on the farm and in the neighboring valleys. The area is ideal for cycling, with mountain bike centers, national cycle trails, and bike hire options nearby.

Just 4 miles away from the market town of Crickhowell and 5 miles from Abergavenny, guests have access to local shops, eateries, and events such as the September food festival. Brecon, known for its Cathedral and Welsh heritage, and Hay on Wye, famous for its book shops and literary festival, are both within a 30-minute drive. The cottage features a spacious open plan kitchen/lounge/dining room with a wood burner, TV, and DVD player. The well-equipped kitchen includes an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. Downstairs, there is also a WC and a games room with a pool table, darts board, TV, PlayStation 3, and a pinball machine for entertainment.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms: a king-size room with an additional pull-out bed, a large king-size room, and a double room with an extra single bed. There is a full-size bathroom and shower, as well as a separate shower room and WC on the first floor. Outside, guests can relax in the enclosed garden and terrace, which is wildlife and insect-friendly, with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ available during the summer months. One well-behaved dog is welcome on the ground floor only, as this is a working farm with sheep and horses. The dog should be kept on a lead outside of the enclosed garden.
