Bryn Adda is a beautiful 16th Century Farmhouse located in Snowdonia National Park, North Wales. It's secluded location is perfect! Within a mile to the thriving market town of Dolgellau, it's close to beaches (Barmouth and Fairbourne, 20 mins drive), Coed-y-Brenin Forest Park (Mountain Biking Centre, 9 min drive) and surrounded by mountains (Cadair Idris is behind the house). The famous Mawddach Trail (a flat 9 mile trail to Barmouth) is a 5 minute walk from the house.
The farmhouse is a blend of traditional and eclectic furniture with ultimate modern comfort. Each room has been designed in patterns, colours and textures that reflect the landscape, history and surroundings. The house largely runs on green energy, with heating provided by a biomass boiler housed in one of the outbuildings. There are three spaces for relaxation - The more formal spacious sitting room overlooking the garden with an open fire, TV and sumptuous blankets, the snug with comfy sofas, television, wood burner, plus access to the garden, and lastly, the games room with a pool table, table football, a host of games and large TV with Netflix, BBC and itv.
Children are well catered for with cots and highchairs, and plenty of room to roam safely.
The grounds are huge! Four and a half acres of garden to explore, with an ancient forest behind the games room building, perfect for den building. There is a public footpath that meanders behind the ancient woods, and up the hill next to the forest. There is a beautiful spot to enjoy a BBQ or a meal from the wood fired Pizza Oven overlooking the fields and valley, with a large rustic table to eat at (seats 14). There are also several other patio areas with outdoor furniture dotted around the garden. A campfire with large rock and ariondak seating makes for a great evening under the stars (alongside fairy lights), with blankets and hot water bottles provided to keep the chill away!
There is a wood fired sauna with shower and toilet located in one of the beautiful stone outbuildings. The Games Room, located in another separate outbuilding, includes a pool table, table football plus a big selection of outdoor games and indoor board games. There is also a TV streaming Netflix for movie nights!
4 super king beds (that split into 2 sgls), 2 kings, 1 double and 2 4’ long bunks (smaller kids only).
BRYN ADDA IS ALSO AVAILABLE TO RENT FOR SMALLER GROUPS OF UP TO 8 PEOPLE WITH EXCLUSIVE USE OF PROPERTY (ONLY AVAILABLE OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL HOLIDAYS). PLEASE CONTACT HOST FOR SPECIAL QUOTE.
