Walk to the sandy beach from the doorstep and on to the bustling harbour with working fishing boats and regular boat trips to the Farne Islands to see a range of birds, seals, and puffins (from April to late July) and explore the friendly village amenities. Ramble along the coastal path to Bamburgh Castle (2 miles), play on the vast beach, and browse the shops, pubs, renowned eateries, and the Grace Darling Museum. Stroll on beautiful Beadnell Bay, (3 miles) to watch the water sports and sunsets, or enjoy lunch in the beachside café or in the village pub/restaurant and bistro. Cross the causeway to visit Holy Island (15 miles) and inland, discover Alnwick Castle, the famous Gardens, and its popular market town (17 miles). This welcoming, spacious home from home is in a quiet area of the village and provides comfortable social space for multi generation families with views across the open countryside towards Bamburgh Castle and wood flooring throughout the ground floor. Head through the front door into the hallway where you can leave your walking shoes and boots. The bright and spacious lounge has plenty of comfortable seating arranged around the cosy wood burner where you can relax together after a day out exploring the area. Choose to watch TV or a DVD from the family friendly selection provided or sit quietly at the far end of the lounge with your favourite drink and a good book from the well stocked bookshelves. The open plan kitchen/diner is the social hub of the house where everyone can come together at the large dining table with seating for ten and the fully equipped kitchen has everything the family cook will need to prepare and serve a wide range of meals. A door leads into the utility room and a glazed door leads out to the garden. There is a WC off the utility room with coat hooks and a boot rack, and another door leads into the wide garage where you will find an additional fridge, tumble dryer, games, and toys, and plenty of space to store your bikes and surfboards. At bedtime, there is a ground floor double bedroom with lots of storage and a dressing table. Heading upstairs, there is a tranquil super king size bedroom with an en suite shower room, a generous king size bedroom, a charming twin bedroom with children's toys and books, and a further twin bedroom, all with wonderful views and plenty of space to store your things. The family bathroom has a large, freestanding bath, perfect for a luxurious soak in bubbles. Outside, there is an enclosed garden to the rear divided into two areas by a wooden archway. At one end there is a patio area with a large garden table, parasol, and seating where you can enjoy fun, alfresco dining using the charcoal BBQ and at the other end, a second table and chairs, perfect for morning coffee and after dinner drinks. This end of the garden is also accessible through the sliding doors in the lounge. Enjoy watching the many visiting birds to the garden and star gazing at nightfall.
