Enjoy salmon and trout fishing on the River Teviot and the famous River Tweed. Visit the Borders distillery, top class mill outlets in Hawick, The home of Cashmere or the local Celtic goldsmith (8 miles) at The Johnnie Armstrong Gallery. This is a fantastic base to explore the Scottish Borders with its historic country houses and towns. Within easy touring distance of Melrose (19 miles) and Berwick upon Tweed (39 miles). As you enter the fully renovated cottage, you will find yourself in an airy hallway, with space to hang your coats and store your walking boots. Off the hallway there is a bright open plan contemporary lounge/kitchen/diner. From the lounge, take in the view over the garden and open countryside, kick back and relax on the comfy seating, watch a good movie on the Smart TV after a day out exploring.
