A great spot for those requiring a peaceful and relaxing holiday or wishing to enjoy all that Somerset, Devon and Dorset have to offer. There is a choice of country walks, cycle routes and golf at Cricket St Thomas. Retail therapy can be found in the market towns of Ilminster, Chard, Crewkerne and the larger towns of Yeovil and Taunton. Explore the famous World Heritage Jurassic coastline where you can go fossil hunting on Charmouth beach or visit Lyme Regis, Dorset s iconic seaside town. Nearby are National Trust's Barrington Court, Lytes Cary Manor, Montacute House and further afield, Stourhead House and don t forget to visit the Quantock Hills, or the nature reserves on the Somerset Levels. You are welcomed into the delightful accommodation through the front door where there is a useful hall to hang coats and store muddy boots after a countryside walk. You will then be greeted by the light and airy lounge which has French doors opening into the enclosed garden. Settle in for a snug evening with a bottle of wine and a film on the Smart TV and for those cooler evenings snuggle up in front of the wood burner. From here step into the perfectly equipped kitchen/diner which has an electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave, it is a great space for cooking lazy breakfasts or trying out new recipes while enjoying the far reaching views. There is also a utility room with a useful WC. Back to the hall and completing the ground floor accommodation is the family shower room with shower and WC. Head upstairs to the three immaculate bedrooms which all enjoy a countryside view, a master double, a twin (which can be made into a king size zip and link on request at the point of booking) and a small 4ft double. Venturing outside there is an enclosed garden which also enjoys far reaching countryside views. You will find outside seating and a charcoal BBQ making it a perfect spot to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining with a glass of wine, or a place to relax and enjoy your morning coffee while reading the paper or planning the day ahead. There is ample off road parking to the front of the cottage.
