In the midst of rolling moorland and above the scenic valley of the River Barle, Brightworthy Farm boasts a stunning Exmoor location set two miles from the picturesque and unspoilt village of Withypool. This handsome secluded farmhouse is accessed via a long driveway and stands amongst 137 acres offering ultimate peace and relaxation for all ages. Many outstanding moorland walks are available directly from its front door plus DIY horse stabling may also be available with enquiry. The detached farmhouse is spacious and light with outstanding views and features a large enclosed garden. Whilst some aspects of the house may not be ultra-modern, this is readily forgiven and more than made up by the property's character, space and location. The bedrooms have recently undergone a sympathetic refurbishment and the living areas with their open fires and wood stoves offer plenty of comfort after a long day of exploring.
Withypool, with its friendly pub, village shop and tearoom, is only two miles by car or one mile on foot by following the meandering River Barle. A little farther afield there are many attractions to suit all tastes including the National Trust Dunster Castle, the West Somerset Steam Railway or why not while away a day on a sandy beach at Minehead, Woolacombe or Saunton.
In brief, Brightworthy Farm is a great family house in a stunningly beautiful area with an abundance of fantastic walking, riding and fishing opportunities quite simply a country living holiday at its best.
