Looking for a coastal escape? Ship Cottage dates back to the 1700 and is remote! From it’s beachside location this charming whitewashed cottage is only accessible by 4x4 vehicles. Interiors are rustic with a vintage feel - think roll top bath, wood burning stove and the luxury of underfloor heating. This dog friendly bolthole has a lovely garden and is perfect for a get together with family and friends, planning to spend days on the beach or walking the coastal path.

If you can tear yourself away head to Bishopstone and on to the beaches of Langland and Caswell Bay. Mumbles itself is a delightful coastal village is home to some excellent boutiques, stylish shops, galleries and cafes.

- Size: sleeps 8/10 in 3 bedrooms
- Beds: 1 x super king size bed, 2 x triple beds (1 double with single over, 1 x double with extra single (child's bed)), 1 x double sofa bed in lounge (additional charge of £15 for extra linen per booking- then sleeping 10)

Accommodation

Ground floor

- Lounge/diner: large sofa, underfloor heating, dining table with chairs and a bench.
- Kitchen: electric oven, gas hob, fridge with ice box, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine (available in cupboard under the stairs).
- Living room: soft seating for five including a double sofa bed, wood burner, oven in the inglenook fireplace. Underfloor heating, TV/DVD.

First Floor

A tiered landing.

- Master bedroom: super king size bed, wardrobe, a chest of drawers.
- Bedroom 2: double bed, chest of drawers, and a wardrobe. Additional single bed,
- Ensuite: shower, wash hand basin, bidet and WC.
- Bedroom 3: triple bunk bed (double bed with single over) and wardrobe.
- Bathroom: Victorian style, freestanding slipper bath with shower over, wash hand basin and WC.

- - Entertainment: TV, DVD, books and games.

- For families: high chair.

- Outside: rear garden enclosed by a stone wall, stone steps down to lawn with outdoor furniture. Enclosed rear garden with lawn, patio area, sea views and enclosure containing free range hens for eggs. Garden furniture.
- Parking: Parking for 4 x 4 vehicles only, parking for other cars in residential area 1.1 miles .
- General: changeover day - Friday. LPG gas. Wood burner. Bed linen and towels provided. WiFi can be intermittent.
- Pets: 2 dogs welcome. Note - you will need to pay an additional pet fee and you must not leave dogs unattended in the property.
- Accidental Damage Deposit: you may need to pay an Accidental Damage Deposit or Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver for this property. Where applicable we will contact you in good time before your holiday with further details and to take payment.
- Notes: no smoking. NO VEHICULAR ACCESS TO THE PROPERTY OTHER THAN VIA THE OWNER'S 4X4 LANDROVER (day of arrival and departure only). In very extreme cases the small river floods and then access is by foot only via the beach or a woodland path (these routes add a 10 minute journey to the arrival). N.B. Guests leave their car in a residential area 1.1 miles from the property. The owners will collect you from a meeting point on arrival and transport you to your destination. Guests are welcome to bring their own 4wd if they are confident to drive off road and be liable for their own car. The track is rough and steep and cars may get scratched-the owner is happy to talk you through the access route. Weekend discount available - 15% discount for 3 night breaks commencing on a Friday (February only and excluding school holidays).
