Cottage In Derbyshire, Hayfield

Peak District. Sleeps up to 3

A cosy cottage in a village position with fantastic access to Kinder Scout. Hayfield is located at the north eastern edge of the Peak District National Park, making it off the beaten track compared to some regions. The north of the Peak District is emptier, starkly beautiful, and attractive to those that shun the crowds. There are some great day trips to be had in the area, so make sure Blue John Cavern, Chatsworth House, Buxton Spring, Lyme Park and the Pennine Way are on your radar. The Peaks have a strong literary connection to Jane Austen, so there are numerous pilgrimages to add to your list of day trips too. Step into the cottage through the front door into the handy porch area, leave your muddy boots and coats here and step into the lounge which is decorated with neutral tones and provides comfortable seating to relax after a day of exploring. Put your feet up and listen to the sounds of the crackling open fire, a real country retreat. There is a small dining table which provides the perfect place for breakfast. Leading on into the kitchen which has a small breakfast bar, electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The first floor is accessed by a steep staircase from the kitchen. Heading up the stairs you will find the super king size zip and link bedroom (which can be made up as a twin on request) located at the front of the house with views over the village. There is a single bedroom which benefits from views over the fields behind. Completing the accommodation is the bright and airy bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Heading outside, there is a small garden area which is accessed via steps leading to an elevated patch overlooking the famous Twenty Trees a local landmark when climbing Kinder Scout. There is roadside parking to the front of the cottage.
