Access the property via a long gravel driveway and find ample parking at the front and rear of the property, before heading inside and into the grand entrance hallway boasting a curved staircase to the upper floors. Head into the spacious kitchen/diner, fully equipped with integrated appliances and a large Aga cooker you can fire up to cook delicious meals for the group, with an island providing ample space to prepare ingredients, while meals can be enjoyed at the adjacent dining table beneath a skylight, or in the separate formal dining room, which can comfortably seat the whole group. Spend evenings relaxing in the sitting room in front of the TV, or curl up in an armchair with a good book, while a small snug on the first floor provides additional space to play games or watch your favourite shows. As the evening draws to a close, discover a ground-floor double bedroom, or make your way up the staircase to find three bedrooms - a super king-size with en-suite shower room and dressing room, a king-size and a twin sharing access to a bathroom with a bath and separate shower. The second floor offers a further double and twin bedroom with a bathroom in between. This lovely part of Essex is rich in forests and woodland, making it extremely popular with cyclists, horse riders and those who enjoy an outdoor pursuit. Nearby Castle Hedingham boasts a well-preserved Norman castle with a scenic picnic area, along with several parks and gardens to enjoy an afternoon stroll through. The market town of Sudbury, resting within the Stour Valley, is the home of painter Thomas Gainsborough, who took inspiration from his picturesque surroundings for his paintings. The town boasts pretty half-timbered houses with characterful sloping roofs, along with opportunities for riverside strolls beside the Stour and Gainsborough House, which showcases some of Gainsborough's finest work.
