The Area:
The apartment is located in Maindee, a busy suburb of Newport. It is close to local shops, takeaways (the handiest of which is the chip shop downstairs!) and just a 15 minute walk from Newport City Centre and train station giving easy access to Cardiff and Bristol.
The light and airy apartment is in Maindee, Newport, South Wales. It is in a busy shopping, takeaway and residential area and situated on the first floor above a chip shop.
Ideally located for local shops, a delicious ice cream parlour called Sprinkles, and takeaways.
We are a ten minute drive to Celtic Manor Resort and golf course, ICC Wales as well as the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales which are both major attractions in the area. Caerleon Roman Fortress and Baths, National Trust Tredegar House and the iconic Transporter Bridge are also very close.
The Apartment:
The Green Gem has a contemporary feel with tasteful accessories and stylish touches. We love plants so there are lots of artificial ones around the apartment for you to enjoy and no need for watering!
Living Area:
The living area is stylishly decorated and has a large sofa and a dining table to seat up to 4 guests. The sofa can also be converted into a kingsize sofa bed so extra guests can be accommodated. We have a smart TV for you to use which enables you to log into the apps you regularly use at home.
Bedroom:
The bedroom is beautifully decorated and sleeping arrangements offer guests flexibility with zip and link beds which can be a king size or twin, whatever you prefer. The bed will be made up as a kingsize by default, if you require twin beds instead please let us know when you make a booking. We provide a hairdryer for guests to use and all linen and towels are provided also.
Kitchen:
We have a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, hob, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and a washing machine.
Bathroom:
There is a stylish bathroom with a shower and bath for guests use along with all the necessities and a set of complimentary toiletries on arrival.
Landing:
On the landing there is a coat/shoe rack and mirror.
Guest Access:
Access to the flat is with a keypad door and a key stored in a lockbox. Guests will get access to the codes for these a few days before arrival.
Parking can be limited directly outside the apartment as it's located on a busy street. There are 2 spaces directly outside the flat. If they are taken then there is room for guests to unload outside after arriving and then we would advise you to park in a nearby street such as Hereford Street, London Street, Exeter Street or Liverpool Street.
There is also free parking on the main road (Chepstow Road) from 6pm to 8am and Maindee Car Park is free from 8pm to 8am or £3 for 12 hours during charging times.
Other things to note:
There are stairs to access the flat as it is located on the first floor above a chip shop and by the main road.
Although the property is fully double glazed, you may experience some road and street noise in the lounge during your stay.
This condo is located in Newport. Friars Walk Newport and Capitol Shopping Centre are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Brecon Beacons National Park and Newport Wetlands. Bowlplex Cwmbran and Dewstow Gardens & Hidden Grottoes are also worth visiting.
