Riverside Cottage was one of Ballater's earliest buildings and when Karl first visited it, it had gone to ruin. The property has now been comprehensively but sympathetically renovated and offers a cosy yet spacious home away from home with all the usual modern amenities & more in a great location to explore Ballater and all of Deeside.

The two-story house sleeps up to 6 & has a comfortable lounge with 2 large sofas & a woodburning stove, a spacious kitchen, a garden view room with dining & seating area, cloakroom, and toilet downstairs. The bathroom & 2 bedrooms can be found upstairs, a super king double room & a twin room, which can be converted to a super king, both have bedside cabinets and wardrobes. The bathroom is well sized and boasts a built-in shower & separate large double ended bath. A further 2 guests sleep on a sofa bed located in the room overlooking the garden.

The garden features an eco-friendly fire heated hot tub, a great way to unwind after exploring some of the local activities available; be it fishing, a distillery tour, hiking, biking or even skiing in the winter!

Ballater also offers a number of local restaurants and cafes for dining out, alternatively the cottage has a fully equipped kitchen to cook for yourselves & there is also an outside dining area in the secluded courtyard for those warmer days.

Located in Ballater, this vacation home is in a rural area and in the mountains. Balmoral Castle and Corgarff Castle are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Ballater Golf Club and Royal Lochnagar Distillery. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
